The Gym is a purpose-built facility at The Herts & Essex Sports Centre in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. If you are new to Alex Hart KAIZEN Gym & Fitness, every new member receives a FREE Personal Training Session, which gives the member something to work towards and also teaches safety on the equipment.

We know motivated members keep coming back for more. We also know motivation equals results. We have created a membership programme for Les Mills, which allows you to opt into classes that suit your capabilities. Our 45 minutes classes have relaxing or up-tempo music to fit the sessions. Exercises can be adapted for low or high impact, and we have plenty of space for everyone.
To book a class, you need to be between 16 to 80+ years of age. Classes are available at Herts & Essex Sports Centre, Bishops Stortford and via the Online Virtual 360° Programme.
Combining athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as press ups and squats. Classes are 45 minutes long and you will burn up to 555 calories.
The benefit of a whole-body work out is huge. BODYATTACK burns calories whilst toning and shaping. You'll build stamina whilst your coordination and agility significantly improves.
This Martial Arts inspired workout is non contact and high energy. In this 45-minute workout, you will burn up to 570 calories as you work your legs, tone your arms, back and shoulders. There are no complex moves to master, our Les Mills instructor will change the intensity of the workout to match your fitness level.

If you want to reduce body-fat, increase back strength, improve flexibility and ease anxiety, this class is for you. A blend of Yoga, Tai-Chi and Pilates focusing on functional core strength, enhancing joint mobility whilst creating a sense of calm and well-being.
You will begin with a Tai-Chi inspired warm up, with a focus on breathing. Followed with an invigorating series of sun salutations, warrior sequences, hip openers, twists and some Pilates-inspired core training.
This is the original barbell class. If you don't have any experience with weights, don't be put off. Your BODYPUMP instructor will start you off with lighter weights and progressively work up, as you build your strength. If you have joined using our Online Virtual 360° programme, you will need a set of at-home barbells, increasing the weight as your fitness levels progress.
Using the rep effect formula of light weights and high repetitions, BODYPUMP develops lean athletic muscles, aids metabolism and improves body composition burning up to 400 calories, you will finish the class motivated for more.
